Gentry Magazine Feature

We are thrilled to finally share photos of our beach house renovation in Aptos! The July issue of Gentry Magazine features a six page spread on this vacation home that we completed last year. Working with good bones and dated finishes, we transformed a mid-century home into a serene, modern weekend retreat. This stunning property is steps from the beach with incredible views of the ocean and surrounding cliffs.

When our longtime client purchased this 1950’s beach house it was outfitted with original dark wood paneling and stained glass windows. We reimagined the space to integrate our client’s modern aesthetic while bringing in more natural light and highlighting the incredible ocean views. A light, textural palette is used throughout with white oak floors and ceilings and board-formed concrete. The interiors feature a mix of modern furniture and lighting alongside sculptural, vintage pieces that give a nod to the home’s mid-century roots.

  1. I live in Huntsville AL. I bought a home in Gulf Breeze FL and I want to use your coastal retreat home in APTOS to choose materials and colors for flooring, walls and cabinets. Can you share the colors and brands of cabinets, floors, wood on walls, and paint for living room, bathrooms and bedrooms?
