This 1930’s traditional home in Piedmont was a special project for the Niche team – it’s the residence of Principal Designer Jennifer Jones, her husband and their son. The French-inspired architecture encouraged classic furniture shapes, which we mixed with vintage and custom pieces alongside modern art and contemporary lighting for an approachable, California take on traditional design. A high priority was placed on healthy and sustainable furnishings; the upholstered pieces are non-toxic and the custom tables are made of FSC-certified wood by a local craftsman.
The airy, neutral palette in the formal living room is punctuated with blue velvet armchairs and vintage brass ottomans upholstered in a blush mohair. Graphic wallpaper makes a statement in the dining room, paired with a custom walnut table designed by Niche Interiors along with refurbished mid-century chairs.
